Metro Diner in Plainfield is one of my favorite places to eat. My go-to order is the steak and scramble bowl — it’s always cooked perfectly, hearty, and packed with flavor. Portions are generous and everything comes out hot and fresh every time. Our server Ty was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The restaurant is clean and has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy a meal. If you’re looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in the Plainfield area, I highly recommend Metro Diner.
We had Zana as our waitress and she deserves a raise! Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast burger-ordered with hash browns on the side, and y'all-these are the first hash browns I have ever had in my life at a diner that actually had flavor! They were so good. The burger was perfectly cooked and had hollandaise sauce on it! Amazing. Ranch dressing is super homemade. My daughter was happy with her club sandwich and super creamy mac and cheese. We will be back!
Excellent atmosphere! Kalena was our waitress and she did a phenomenal job! Everyone there provided excellent customer service and food was great! The owner even came out and welcomed us knowing it was our first time there! Owner was walking around greeting everyone! Happy atmosphere. This type of atmosphere and customer was impeccable and you don’t find that anywhere else! Totally impressed!!
We had four stop in for breakfast for dinner, and Metro Diner did not disappoint. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly what you want when you’re craving comfort food. Portions were generous, the kids cleaned their plates, and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. Pancakes were fluffy, eggs cooked just right, and the overall vibe was relaxed and family-friendly. It was the perfect spot for a laid-back dinner that everyone enjoyed. We’ll definitely be back! Great cafe, I really enjoyed my eggs. The biscuits and gravy here are top-notch, I would call them a 10 all over the country of the best hash Browns as well, don't need ketchup salt, nothing. They're perfect, those are 10 as well. I had my pancakes and hot Maple syrup, yum yum, come, get some alto the black coffee by chalk, no sugar, awesome and top it off our waitress, Anna W top-notch one of the best. We've had all over the country polite, sincere, funny and beautiful.Come Anna w. Add the metro diner.You will not be disappointed.When are the best little diners in the USA.
We had a great experience here! Our server, I believe her name was Taylor, was super nice. We got our food in a timely manner and it was delicious. I ordered the Loaded Burger Bowl and it was amazing. I also love that they have gluten free bread/bun options as someone with Celiac Disease who often doesn’t have a lot of options when eating out. Great service, food, and just a cute place to dine!
My boyfriend and I came for a late lunch and had a great experience with Ty as our server! I had the fried chicken sandwich and seasoned fries and he went for the spicy honey chicken biscuit and hashbrowns. Everything was cooked to perfection and we will absolutely be returning!
From the moment we entered until the moment we left it felt like we were family! The entire staff was so friendly! The food was amazing! I highly recommend the chicken and waffles, and the cinnamon roll pancake!
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Kellee was wonderful and accommodating. She even laughed at all my jokes! Was my first time here and I will definitely stop by whenever I’m near Indy. (The portions are HUGE!!!)
Zaria was wonderful in helping us choose our breakfast as we are in the area for the WGI Show. She was attentive, courteous and happy. Food was excellent. I had the chicken and waffles which was an excellent way to start the day. Chicken was fresh and well prepared. We will be back next year.
